This color woodblock print by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi depicts a scene of a badger protecting its cubs from a dog attack. The badger is shown fiercely defending its young, while the dog is depicted as the aggressor. The print is part of a series titled The Postal News, no. 724 and was created circa 1875 in Japan.
