Description
This artwork is a collaborative effort between two famous Japanese artists, Utagawa Hiroshige and Utagawa Toyokuni III. The piece is titled Fifty-three Stations by Two Brushes “ Hara and was created in 1854. The artwork is part of a series of prints that depict the fifty-three stations of the Tokaido road, which was the main route between Tokyo and Kyoto during the Edo period. The print features a beautiful landscape with a river flowing through it and a small village in the background. The artists used a technique called ukiyo-e, which is a traditional Japanese woodblock printing method. The artwork is currently located in an unknown physical location.
