Description

This is a polychrome woodblock print created by Kitagawa Utamaro in 1789. The print measures H. 9 in. (22.9 cm) by W. 14 5/8 in. (37.1 cm). It is currently located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, NY. The print is from the Edo period (1615-1868) and is of Japanese culture. The print is a beautiful example of Utamaro’s work and showcases his skill in woodblock printing.
